Northern Ballet's Pinocchio

Pinocchio Appeal

Help us introduce children to the magic of dance.

This year we'll première our new children’s ballet Pinocchio which tells the tale of this beloved character with a Northern Ballet twist. In spring 2022, we will tour the production to over 20 towns and cities to give as many children and families as possible the opportunity to experience the joy of ballet.

As well as the ballets you see on stage, we run workshops for children and families of all ages in school halls, dance schools, libraries, children’s centres and community settings. We work up and down the country to break down barriers to enjoying ballet and show children that the arts are for everyone.

Inspiring the next generation

Do you remember your first trip to the ballet? We believe every child should have the opportunity to experience that same unforgettable feeling of excitement and exhilaration which can kickstart a lifelong love of the arts.

Designed to encourage movement and foster creativity and self-expression, we believe our workshops are more important now than ever before. Help us share your love of dance with the next generation.
