Devonshire Hall Drama Society presents FAME, the internationally bestselling musical featured for many years on both Broadway and The West End. FAME traces the steps of a group of students going through their first year at New York City's High School of Performing Arts, where they have to deal with gruelling schedules filled with dance, acting and music, yet try to keep up with issues like body image, social background and the temptations of love and drugs. This high energy musical features many familiar tunes to have you singing from your seats, including “Think Of Meryl Streep”, “Let’s Play A Love Scene”, “Mabel’s Prayer” and, of course, “FAME”. 24 students of Leeds University bring their boundless energy and their remarkable talent to the Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre where you are sure to be immersed in the story of FAME.
